Licenses at home

Due to the pandemic many of us have been forced to work from home. That in itself brings a few new technical challenges for the users as the IT infrastructure suddently changes, and with that can come additional obstacles: licenses. We at archi are commited in helping all our users to have the easiest daylife and would like to share a few recomendations to use our software from home. At this moment all our licenses should work from home in the same way as they work from the office. If you are using a desktop license, attached to your computer, it does not really matter where you are located, as it will allways allow you to install and run that software. However if you are using a network / floating license, and you are not using a VDI or a VPN to use your office IP address, you may get an invalid license. There are two ways to provide you a valid license. The easiest way is to install your software with the customer key, that is avaliable in the authorized networks section of the floating licenses. A computer installed with this customer key will regardless of their locationbe part of the floating network, even if you have a dynamic IP address at home that changes all the time. We think this solution is perfect for most of our customers. The other way is to register your home ip address as a secondary address in the authorized networks sections - that however is mostly suitable if your home IP address is fixed.
