I purchased a small pack of people and trees. Is there a way to allow the people to rotate with the camera so I can take different views and always see the profile..?

I just purchased my first group of people and several trees and I'm having problem when I load them into my project. I assumed they would load in as black silhouettes like in the sample video but they're taking on the same image I used as a material for a nearby wall. Is there a way to change this to just a solid black (or grey) silhouette?

Which people packages will work in 3D views?
