Hello,

I want to know if there will be any changes in the future about this method of loading floating licenses. It is inconvenient for me checking wich computer is the license running every time I need to export files from a project.

There is absolutely no way to avoid a license from loading when Revit starts?

Thank you for the questions.

1 - Yes. Floating licenses are meant to start when the application loads (Revit start).

2 - In a floating license environment the application will try to obtain a license when the program loads.

3 - No, floating licenses are meant to be freely available to all users. The alternative is to use desktop licenses and assign to specific computers, if that is what you prefer instead. We also have that solution.

Please let us know if you have further questions.

Hello,

Regarding floating license management:

1) Do I have to restart Revit to load a free license, or is there a way to load a license in a running Revit session?

2) Can I prevent a license from loading when it's free to the first Revit session that starts anywhere?

2b) If I had multiple licenses, could I assign each of them to a disjunct group of workstations?
