One of my employees was given a new computer and he cant use his serial to log in because his old computer is taking up the license still. Can I get his license freed up so he can log in?

We have recently purchased a number of perpetual licenses for Docuflow. Before that we already had 8 floating licenses.

Now when i install Docuflow there's no place to enter the product key. So i did a few installs and now everyone has a floating license.

Is there a way to enter the product key afterwards or a way to enter the key during installation even though floating licenses exist on the network?

Hello,

since our old docuflow licenses have expired we purchased new ones.

But they do not appear in "My Licenses" and docuflow demands a license key which can´t be found anywhere.

Is there a solution to this?

We are using the current release (4.6)

Understanding Floating Licenses

Floating licenses are a very cost effective license type that help maximize your investment in Archigrafix software. Their main advantages are:

- Allow the software to be deployed to all computers of your network without the need of serial numbers.

- Allow to share automatically the licenses among your team, maximizing your investment.

- Allow running as many sessions of Revit with 1 license in one computer.

- No local license server. The authorization happens on the cloud server from Archigrafix.

- Support of multiple public IP addresses and multiple IP ranges, making it possible to use the same licenses across multiple office locations or even allow access from home.

The mechanism that loans and returns the licenses is triggered by the start and end of a Revit session in a computer. That has to do with the current pricing scheme. A floating license currently costs the same as a desktop license. Floating liceses are show above are more suitable for medium or large organizations.

To see the license usage, inncluding the computers that currently have a license, please follow these instructions.

Who is using the floating licenses

Floating licenses can be borrowed by any computer behind the authorized public IP addresses.

Process

1 - Log in the My Licenses section in the customer area

2 - Scroll down to the area that lists the computers that currently are using your licenses.

Using a floating license instead of my old desktop license

For computers with previously installed desktop licenses, that use a serial number, and that intent to use a valid floating license.

Process

1 - Unninstall the application, using the unninstall icon or the unninstall program in the control panel, to remove the serial number

2 - Install the application.

Add multiple IPs to my floating license

A floating license is a license locked to one or multiple networks that allow any computer inside that network to borrow it from the archigrafix cloud server.

Process

1 - Log into the My License section in the customer area.

2 - Add a valid IP address in the input box and click the button.

Move desktop licenses between computers

Desktop licenses are licenses locked to 1 machine and authenticated with a serial number.

Process

1 - Write the serial number down of the application used on your old pc. If you do not know what serial number your license has, use the My Licenses webpage on the customer area.

2 - Unninstall the application from your old pc.

3 - Install the application on your new pc using the serial number.

If one is unable to do the step 2, it is possible to release the serial number in the My Licenses area. Note that to prevent abuse that functionality is limited to once every 30 days.
