Best desktop for Revit monthly benchmark update

The April 2026 desktop benchmark update keeps the same leaders at the top of both major component rankings.

The fastest desktop CPU in the current results is AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16-Core Processor, with a median CPU test time of 7652 ms. The fastest desktop GPU is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070, with a median GPU test time of 1821.5 ms.

For desktop coverage, the monthly winner is a recommended pairing of the current desktop CPU leader and desktop GPU leader from separate rankings. It is not automatically a submitted single-machine benchmark system. For April 2026, that recommendation is AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16-Core Processor + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070.

You can review the complete component lists here:desktop CPU rankings and desktop GPU rankings.

What changed from March 2026

Compared with March 2026, the desktop CPU leader did not change, the desktop GPU leader did not change, and the monthly recommended desktop pairing therefore remains the same.

The top submitted desktop system combination in the benchmark data also remained unchanged:Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900KF + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070, with median CPU and GPU times of 7538.4 ms and 1798.6 ms respectively.

April 2026 highlights

  • Recommended desktop build: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16-Core Processor + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070
  • Current CPU leader: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16-Core Processor
  • Current GPU leader: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070
  • Top tested desktop system: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900KF + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070
  • Benchmark dataset: 1014 total runs to date, with 56 runs added this month

Methodology note

Rankings ignore rows with missing hardware names and exclude zero or negative test times. Per-machine results use median times, and ranking entries must meet minimum repeat-evidence thresholds across unique machines and raw runs. This helps reduce one-off anomalies without overreacting to isolated submissions.
